A very pleasant hotel, well presented and good location. The only issue I have is small but important. Guests have to pay for parking, even at the weekend. It’s as,all point but when spending over 150 for a family room, parking should be gratis in my opinion. If premier inn can do it, so can the Hilton group. I’m sure there’s a reason, but it’s not given.
Lovely rooms with ice cold air con, great restaurant... but I was overcharged by £10 and when I queried it I was told it was a bar bill. I had gone straight to my room and ordered nothing other than room service. The staff just shrugged and said she didn't know what it was for, but it's a bar bill, expecting me to settle. It was another member if staff that stepped in and suggested she checked the receipts that I had signed for and that didn't show the excess £10. Ok, so it's just ten quid, but what if that happens regularly?!! I don't want to have to triple check my bill on every visit!

Stayed a couple of nights. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful when asked anything. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Enjoyed the breakfasts. Maybe a little more variety needed but everything was nicely presented. Would recommend.
Great hotel! Fabulous staff, Good food and breakfast. Well done HI express!

Externally looks like a brown box you would ignore, but step inside and you find a comfortable reception area manned with friendly helpful staff. The rooms are clean and tidy, beds are comfortable only thing missing is air conditioning, which with the current heat wave would have been very useful. If you you use the dining room the meals are well cooked and surprisingly good. Would recommend to anyone needing to stay in the Swindon area for the night.
We stayed here on our way to visit our daughter. It was clean, tidy, friendly efficient staff. The breakfast was brilliant with cooked and continental. We had both as it was all you could eat. We had evening meal in the restaurant and it was lovely. Would highly recommend the hotel. We will stay again anytime we are that way.

The go to pub in the village for sports. Several screens including a giant one and decent ale.
Great pub with a lovely outside seating area.

Great Bar (good selection of gin!) and friendly atmosphere... Good place to grab a drink and catch up with friends
Fantastic service, tried a beer before choosing the one I wanted a pint of, cosy comfortable atmosphere. Ribs delivered to our table blew our mind. Coming back!

The pub has a warm, family friendly atmosphere. Service was prompt but we never felt rushed. Portions were extremely generous, even the smaller sizes on offer were substantial platefuls. I didn't have the Carvery option but my fellow diners indicated it was well cooked, although the variety vegetables were lacking.
Great staff have really taken care of us even got included in the quiz night food is fresh and home cooked room is really comfy and massive

Had the privilege of staying with Sue at Bradford House for 8 week recently. location is ideal for Old town with lots of bars and restaurants near by to fill up your evenings away from home with off street parking provided at The rear of Bradford House. The rooms are clean and the breakfasts light as advertised but adequate to keep you going. Sue herself could not do more to make you feel welcome and your stay in Swindon as enjoyable as possible. Rates are very reasonable and Bradford house gives good value for money. I would highly recommend and look forward to staying with Sue again next time I am in Swindon. Tim Turner .
Reasonable rate clean room good breakfast.

We spent three days in Swindon visiting the RIAT in Fairford. The bus station is only 15 minutes walk from the accommodation which was a real pleasure because we had to take the Shuttle Bus to the Air Tattoo. There are numerous shops, Pubs and restaurants in a nearby pedestrian zone. The welcome at The Lodge was very warm and so was the service. So was a small problem with the shower immediately solved and if one has a wish, one must tell it only to the really kind owner. The room was a little small, which is apparently so common in England and also the double bed was a little small for 2 adult people. Otherwise you have everything you need including WLAN, Microwave, electric kettle and a TV. The bathroom, the towels were clean and there was also a hair dryer. The breakfast room is really very nicely arranged with a beautiful view. The continental breakfast was a little simple but sufficient and the coffee is fresh. The Lodge is a simple but nice Bed&Break Accommodation and we would like to thank for the hospitality
TheLodge is not exactly located in a district that represents England or swindon in the best possible way. But the bus station is within walking distance. That was one of the decisive reasons for our decision to book there. TheLodge is a small, old, winding house and this is also reflected in the interior. First of all, the friendly reception is to be emphasized. The first impression of everything is charming, cosy, winding... To keep that impression you have to try a lot of good will. Our room was too small for two adults in every respect. The same goes for the plank hard bed. To circle it one had to sit on it, there was not enough space for luggage. The spacious bathroom is particularly noteworthy. Less pleasing that only a faint drip came out of the shower, which did not change significantly due to the exchange of the shower head. For breakfast I really recommend to name exactly what you want. Otherwise, for example, the fruit dish will increasingly run down from the first to the third morning and will not be filled up. Scrambled eggs, fried eggs and fresh toast are served on pleasantly preheated plates. For a few days I can recommend the stay there.
If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
